Here's my little bugg on the right...Isn't he cute?!!!! I LOVE this picture I think he looks a lot like me there when I was little, but he is such a cutie. I love being a mom...Anyways, I'll get off my soap box....

Dez and Geoff came out for Spring Break. They came the week before Easter. It was really fun. We went to one of my dear friends Wedding Receptions out in Bountiful Utah--Sarah; which I wished I would've gotten a picture of her and myself. (Her dress was amazing) Dez, Geoff, Chase, Kris, Declan, and myself all went in my car that weekend. Poor Chase had to sit in the back like a dog there and back...with no seat belt, but it was still a fun trip I thought. My college friends were all there that I hardily ever get to see. It was fun seeing how much everyone has changed and what is new with everyone's lifes. I have a friend, Holly, who is pregnant. She looks very pretty and only has til' May before she has a little boy of her own. I am very excited for her. Beezer (Belinda is her actual name), is just hilarious and goofy and I miss her crazy-ness. It was nice to be with my family. The next day the Ellsworth's Clan came in to Green River and we all went to dinner and watched "Horton Hears a Who." I liked it a lot. Those kind of animation movies are my favorite to watch. Dez and Geoff went back to Arizona for the last two months. Geoff is graduating Law School in May...and will move back to Utah. Pretty exciting stuff

Then Easter weekend came. That Saturday, The Mulllins's Clan went out to the shooting rang to have a picnic out in Fire Hole and to shoot their bows. Well, where we usually go had quite a bit of snow and mud and, go figure, some wind. So, we decided to go somewhere else. Kris's dad pointed out a dry dirt road down the road, so that is where we headed. They built a fire on a side of a hill to block the wind(mostly thinking of the baby Mr. Goober), and that's where we roasted hot dogs, marshmellows...etc. It was Declan's first official Picnic!! ;] He sat in the car seat most of the time though. It was still kind of chilly, but it was really fun even if it was cold.

Declan is really getting quite playful and funny He is starting to talk (baby talk) quite a bit. He giggles, grabs your face. He talks to himself sometimes until he falls asleep...I love it. Trys to talk to get my attention and I swear sometimes he says "Mom...?"<--Kind of like "Where are you?" It really is the best thing ever to have a child. It is crazy how much he changes with weight, length, motor skills, and especially personality. He really has discovered his hands and is quite fond of sucking on them and shoving them in his mouth--trying to suck on both at the same time is really funny. He gets kind of frustrated that he can not fit both in his mouth :]

Declan is also entertained by the TV most of the time because of all the colors and movement. Pretty funny. We have taken him to quite a bit of movies to he movie theatre and he seems to like it a lot...because that screen is even bigger than ours!! He is also trying to sit up on his own; just a really strong baby and is getting stronger and stronger everyday.

mY nEw CaR!!!!!

Hey....I have a great story for you that is kind of embarrassing at the same time because of my behavior. Here it goes:
See that car above?? Well, I have been wanting to trade in my Mini S Cooper for quite some time. The mini is so fun and so good on gas, but just is not a winter car and not the safest car ever. So, I have just been looking for something new and affordable.
I was looking on the Internet at either a Toyota Rav-4 or this Honda CR-V. So I finally decided that I wanted the Honda CR-V. Really good on gas, four door, and cute. Kris calls it a "bubble."

We were at the Honda/Toyota Shop in Rock Springs and we have quite the "hook-up" there. The Mullins are famous for getting a new car or something at least once a year(or something like that)...Well, I filled out a loan application there through Honda and started to get this thing going.

Brandon, that is the car dealer, called and said the best I could get was 11%. There was maybe a slight chance we would go for that and refinance it later. So I told him I would talk to Kris.

We then decided to go try at our bank. The best we got there was 9%, that is if the manager would go for it because our dept ratio was like 10% higher than they would like it to be at, (because of our house that we are flipping); which 9% sounded great compared to 11%. But, sadly enough they denied it and wouldn't loan us the money. They said that if we didn't have the house payment I could have definitely got it.

So, I was bummed to say the least. Kris went over to talk to Brandon. Kris told me that he said to Brandon, "Well, that is higher than we would like, so we'll see ya in six months after we go to Africa." I was kind of embarrassed because Kris said he got kind of onry with Brandon. So, I was like, "Well, he will not want to sell us a car when the time comes if you were a jerk to him."

Anyway, the car was supposed to be my Valentines gift. Now, since I was not getting the car, I text Kris and said, "Hey, since the car was considered my Valentines' gift...what are you going to get me now? I got to say I am kind of bummed, but oh well..."

Last Friday Kris said, "Lets take the mini to Rock Springs and drive it around because we need to get the battery going, plus the FJ is almost out of gas." I was okay with it, and then I started driving it and I realized we haven't got it re-registered-the tag was way expired(because it's been sitting there since I had Declan). I was nervous and said, "What if I get pulled over, should I turn back?!" Kris said, "Oh I forgot about that, don't worry. You won't. Even if you do the ticket will only be like $20 bucks." I was scared and I never thought I would here Kris say something like that about a ticket...
So, as we were heading over Kris got a text from Rachel, his sister, and she said, "Meet us at the Honda shop before we eat, I'm getting my car fixed." So, I really did not want to go let alone go in. Especially because Kris said he was kind of onry with Brandon. We got there and I saw the car I was getting outside with a temp tag...SO IT WAS SOLD!!! I was really surprised that Brandon already sold it to someone else that quick. Kris started laughing and said, "Gees, that really puts salt in the wound." Then Kris started to get out and I refused to go in. He said that I have to come in, because he didn't want to wait for Rachel and Jon alone. Kris went in and I sat in the mini just for a bit, and Kris came back out and grabbed Declan and said, "Ha, now you have to come in. I got the baby."

I did go in and I was trying to avoid Brandon. I was getting kind of annoyed waiting for Jon and a Rachel, and then seeing a couple at Brandon's desk buying MY CAR!!! It just was embarrassing. I kept on saying to Kris, "Can I please just go back to the car?" He said that Jon and Rachel wouldn't be much longer.

Then all of a sudden the couple leaves Brandon's desk and done with signing papers, and Brandon calls us over. Kris headed over and started giggling and whispers to Brandon, "She doesn't know that it's hers." Brandon smiled and said, "Oh, I can get you another one just like that," and laughed.
I was so embarrassed and looked at Kris and said, "You're a butthead." He said, "What? If this was supposed to count as your Valentine's gift, it might as well have been a surprise." :] Brandon was in on it too, and made up the intrest rate just so I would think I was not going to get it.
Now I have a brand spankin' new car...it looks exactly like the one above, just with a roof rack. I enjoy it quite a bit. We drove it the very next day to Salt Lake City to my Uncle Jim's funeral. It drives really nice. Well, that is my story of the infamous car situation. Kris did a really good job tricking me and making me think we were going to wait until Africa, and also that he was a jerk to Brandon. This was a great surprise to say the least!!! Good job Kris... ;]
