A little story to share...

Well:

Declan has really been talking quite a bit lately. Putting more sentences together sometimes... This morning he wanted gum. Here in the office there's a Candy Machine.

So I go get him a quarter, "Tor-ter" as Declan calls it. I get him a gum ball and break it in half and give him a piece to chew on. He loves gum, and he loves it when I blow bubbles with my piece too.

Soon nap-time was coming. So I told him to go pick out a movie. I knew which one he would pick, MADAGASCAR 2 (every time)...I love the movie to, but not everyday. So, I picked out Charlie Brown and the Great Pumpkin Patch. To get in the Autumn, Halloween mood.
(love fall, colors, everything!!)

We started to watch it, both sitting on the couch, and Declan keeps sticking his finger in his nose. I told him, "Stop, Gross...don't put your finger in your nose. Yucky." He started laughing and kept doing it (stinker), over and over again.

Then all of a sudden he kept saying, "Gum. Gum. Gum..." All while pointing at his nose. I was like, "You already have a piece. That's not gum in your nose. That's boogers." He kept saying, "Gum. Gum..." Still pointing at his nose. It then CLICKED, and he said, "Gum. Nose. Stuck." hahahhaa... OH NO!!!!

I leaned him down, I looked and looked... there was no gum to be found, that I could see. I sat him back up. I said, "Where is your piece of gum?" He says, "Nose." I wasn't sure if I believed him. I kept looking up him nose.

Then one of my employees came into the office to clock out. Declan jumped off the couch with me and right when he stood up he sneezed...and then another BIG sneeze and here comes the FLYING PIECE OF GUM out of his NOSE!!! hahahah.. I died. I said, "Well, that worked out quite well." He thought it was Hilarious.

Declan kept pointing at the gum, "Gross. Nose. Gum..." He was giggling pretty hard... (as well as myself)

So in conclusive, when your kid keeps pointing his/her finger at his/her nose and saying gum... or whatever he/she might be saying... BELIEVE HIM/HER!! hahaha. I'm so glad Declan can talk, otherwise I would've thought Declan just spit his gum out somewhere random. Plus, very grateful for the power of Sneezes. Got that gum right out!!

Ha ha. That's too funny. I stuck a bead up my nose when I was little and it got really wedged in there. Eventually I sneezed and it came flying out. So I am also thankful for sneezes! Declan's a keeper!

That is really good that it came out by itself.... Nothing like going to the doctor to get something out of the old nose! : )

Luckily, I haven't experienced that....yet...So, the way you typed what he said, totally reminded me of "Max & Ruby". That's how Max talks. Too cute. :)

It's true...when I was that age, I once stuck a tic-tac up my nose...why lil' kids would want to stick something in their nose, I will never understand! :)
